Eat More…

1. Fatty Fishes

You’ll receive a great source of omega-3 and omega-6 which offer essential fatty acids that reduce inflammation. Eat more salmon, mackerel, and sardines!

2. Nuts

Lacking the minerals zinc and selenium might lead to worse acne. Nuts will contain many essential minerals for healthy skin.

3. Red Grapes

Both the fruit and seed in red grapes contain natural chemicals and antioxidants that will treat inflammatory skin conditions (such as psoriasis and eczema). Plus, they can also aid in controlling side effects of allergic reactions on the skin.

4. Broccoli

Broccoli contains vitamins A, B complex, C, E and K which are perfect for clearing and increasing glow of your skin.

5. Avocado

Avocados are rich in vitamin E and C which can reduce inflammation and naturally moisturize your skin.

6. Brown Rice

Rich in vitamin B, magnesium, protein and several antioxidants which can help regular hormone levels and prevent future breakouts.

7. Garlic

Garlic contains a chemical called allicin, which can kill off many harmful bacteria and viruses that might be attacking your body.

8. Artichoke

Artichokes remove toxins from the body and are a great source of antioxidants and full of vitamin C.

Eat Less…

1. Coconut Oil

Contrary to popular belief this fad oil might be clogging your pores. Swap it out of sunflower-seed oil if you start getting breakouts around your mouth.

2. Dairy

Dairy not only causes excess hormone production, but it also contains the same acne-causing hormones from cows.

3. Whey Protein

One study, published in a 2013 issue of Brazilian Annals of Dermatology, observed 30 participants who consumed whey protein supplements. The results found that acne occurred as a result of eating whey.

4. High-Glycemic Foods

When blood sugar rises, this can also cause hormone levels to rise. Shop for whole, high-fiber foods instead.
