Everyone online will tell you that if you aren’t driving paid traffic to your blog, you aren’t gonna make money. Well, they are partially right. You aren’t gonna make money if you don’t create some type of traffic. Follow these Pinterest tips to increase traffic & gain followers…
1. BE CAREFUL WHEN PINNING
You don’t have to check every pin that comes across your feed, but you should definitely be checking any “sketchy” pins before reposting them. Whenever a viewer or follower opens a pin that leads to spam – they might start to believe you provide low-quality content. Do your viewers a favor and check stuff out every once in a while.
2. CREATE PUBLIC BOARDS
This one should be a no-brainer, but how many boards should you have? I’d recommend you start off with 3 boards that you post to non-stop. You can expand to more boards when you have more followers.
3. FIND PEOPLE IN YOUR NICHE
Go searching for the best people on Pinterest right away. Your feed will be filled with useful content that you can repost with ease. I followed 300 people in the beginning, and I’m still following those same people today.
4. YOU DON’T HAVE TO CONSUME
You do not need to read every pin you decide to share. If it’s a good infographic, has a catchy image, or a title you believe your audience may be interested in. Give it a go and repost. I can’t even imagine trying to read all the content I’ve reposted (over 23k)…
5. EASY DOES IT DURING THE WEEK
Try not to get caught up in weekday stats for your shop or website. They will naturally decline, while your shares will increase. This is because people are working and getting things done in their lives. On the weekend, they will find the time to read all the content they’ve saved for later.
6. YOU DON’T HAVE TO AGREE
I’ve posted many things I don’t agree with or care about. It’s not always about you though – it’s about what will offer value to your audience. If you think it could help them, repost it and find out. You can always adjust what you post accordingly.
7. IS THAT THE ENERGIZER BUNNY?
Pin like no one is watching. You won’t be able to spam your viewers/followers because that’s just not how Pinterest works. The things you post and repin won’t show up one after another. Pinterest’s algorithm serves up a nice mixture of content from followers, similar pinners, and random content that is performing well across the entire platform.
