7 Clean Eating Snacks For Your Day

There are many snacks that are completely portable and flavorful. You have no excuse to go through the day starving! Read more about these 7 clean eating snacks for your day…

Many clean, whole foods are at your disposal.

You can snag a small basket of fruit the next time you are at the grocery store.

Peaches, pears, apples, bananas, diced watermelon, grapes, etc. You can find all of them in the produce area!

What about when you want a little variety?

You should try to pair all the macronutrients for the most powerful fueling snack.

Protein, carbohydrates, and healthy fats help to ensure your body remains high-energy all day long, and you can avoid the insulin spike that occurs after you eat heavy-carb meals.

Take a look at a few of the following snacks that you can take with you tomorrow:

1. Mini Wraps

Take the time to put together a few different types of mini wraps that contain foods that don’t have to be refrigerated.

You can mash up avocados, cut up carrots, rip up some lettuce, and add some mustard to spread it on a whole wheat tortilla. For extra points (no one is keeping score, don’t worry), try using a veggie or coconut wrap instead.

You can also add mushrooms, baby greens, onions, and more! Try different combinations until you find the one you love.

2. Curry Berries

This next one is extremely easy.

Take a handful of your favorite berries and sprinkle a little bit of curry or chili powder over them. Then, shake them in your container. Now, you’ve got a delicious snack that’s ready to go.

3. Clean Prepackaged Snacks

Protein bars and granola bars CAN be good options if you are careful to look at the ingredients. I personally prefer Larabars because most flavors contain 6 ingredients or less.

You can’t beat that!

4. Peanut Butter & Crackers

Packing some clean organic peanut butter with crackers is a snack that can be made in moments.

You can also pick celery, a banana, or an apple instead of crackers for added health benefits.

5. Fresh Veggies

Plain veggies make a quick, delicious snack that is nutrient-packed. Pair celery with carrots, or pepper strips with hummus or dip made from plain yogurt with herbs and spices.

6. Homemade Veggie Chips

Homemade veggie chips might sound like a hassle, but it’s actually a lot easier than you think.

Take thinly sliced sweet potatoes, beets, radishes, or carrots.

Then, toss them in olive oil, place them on a cookie sheet, sprinkle some spices of choice, and bake them at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes (or until crisp).

Viola – a healthy snack in 30 or less.

7. Popcorn

Popcorn has one of the worst reputations in the world, but as long as it isn’t heavy smeared in butter, it’s not a problem at all!

Air pop some popcorn and mix it with some dried fruit, or bring some of your favorite spices with you, pop it at work, sprinkle, and enjoy.

Adding a few dark chocolate chips can make this snack one of the best ones you’ve ever had.
