A part of the solution is a solid plan of action. Plans will help keep you on track by clarifying responsibility, creating the framework for accountability, and help to identify obstacles to success. Your plan shouldn’t be just a decision but a commitment.

3. A Deadline

Deadlines force you to think about what it will take to accomplish your goal. Each step will require a certain amount of time and a deadline will help you prioritize what you’ll work on (and for how long).

4. Accountability

What is accountability? Accountability is accepting responsibility for your actions and being willing to be answerable to the outcomes of our choices, decisions, and actions. Fully committing brings out internal capabilities and helps us develop a sense of control for the results. Stop blaming, complaining, waiting, and hoping. Make it happen!

5. A Reward

A reward will give you the motivation to keep pushing through to finish your project. Choose rewards that are in your control: a party, a fancy dinner, a car, etc. Sometimes it’s easy to lose track of why we do the things we do, so put a reminder of your reward in your bedroom or office.

  1. Most definitely will start taking these steps into consideration. I have a dream & i need to start planning for it. Not allow my fears to become a part of me and not to live by my doubts. I’ve learned if i choose to stay in bed and not make a move it was nobody elses fault but mine. If the plan doesn’t work change the plan but never the goal. I have keep inspiring myself & reminding myself this isn’t where im suppose to be and where Im going is going to be so much greater. Great post!
