Vision boards help you discover what it is you really want. Put a vision board up in your bedroom, bathroom, or office to provide a daily visual reminder to take constant action towards your dreams and goals.

1. Make A List Of Your Desires

Take a few minutes to write a list of what you want, need, and value. Once you’ve finished your list determine which items are most important to you and why.

2. Get Supplies

You can use a cork pinboard, blank art book, or poster board to as your vision board. You will also need these materials:

  • Glue/Pins
  • Markers/Pens/Pencils
  • Scratch Paper
  • Magazines/Books (Men’s/Women’s Health, Family Circle, etc.)
  • Scissors

5. Pin/Paste

After you’ve found all your images and words look for the best ones that light a fire inside you. Pin and paste them as you see fit, and any images you don’t use now can be saved for a board in the future. Avoid anything that will make you compare yourself to others or make you feel bad.

6. Put Your Vision Board Somewhere Visible

Put your new board (or art book) somewhere it can be used as a daily reminder of what you are working towards in your life. You can keep it in your bedroom, bathroom, or office. Look to your board often for inspiration and motivation.

7. Write Your “Vision Plan”

Vision boards are perfect to look to for inspiration and motivation, but a vision without a plan is just a dream. Make a list of actions that need to be taken today to help guide you to success. Be sure your list contains things you can actually control.

Fix & Repeat

As your dreams begin to become a reality, fix and tweak any forms of resistance that are in the way of what you want. Continue to ask yourself how things are going, keep fine-tuning your vision board and vision “plan”, and trust in the process.
