How To Burn More Calories All Day Long

Sometimes life is too hectic to fit in a good workout - or maybe you just want to burn a couple extra calories during your day. Don't fret! We have a couple options for you to try.

1. Go The Distance

Planning on making a trip to the store? Instead of parking near the entrance, double the distance and get double the exercise.

2. Turn On The Cool

Turn on your AC a little earlier to burn some extra fat. Turning down the temperature can boost your fat burning abilities by up to 40%.

3. Sit On The Floor

Sitting on the floor requires more muscles to keep your body upright. It might be uncomfortable at first, but you’re slowly burning off unwanted calories.

4. Nudge Alarm

Have an alarm set to go off every 30 minutes to remind you to get up and move. Hours at a desk can fly by if you aren’t staying active.

5. Mini Water Bottle

Are you an avid water drinker? Great! But by lugging around a huge water bottle you’re missing out on potential calorie burn. Use a mini one at work so you’ll have to walk more frequently for refills.

6. Dance Moves – ON

Fill a playlist with music that makes you want to dance – and then dance! Dancing for 15 minutes can quickly burn around 100 calories.

7.  Just 5 More

On a treadmill? Go for just 5 more minutes than you normally would. Lifting some weights? Go for just 5 more reps. Push yourself to try 5 more (of whatever) when exercising.
